John....What a thrill it was to meet you and James in Roanoke. As a fan of yours since you and Mark released your first album - I was really pleased to be able to meet and chat with you for awhile. You guys simply sounded great - were wonderfully open and friendly towards me and my family and only wish that you could have played longer. I will continue to keep up with you through your web site and hope that you'll return to this area again before too long. Thanks for being here and reminding me of days long past and music always enjoyed. By the way....the new music is absolutly terrific...listened to both of the CD's after we returned home last night.....thanks

I was a big fan of Batdorf and Rodney starting in the early 70's. Particularly when I was feeling down - there music always cheered me up. Happy to see John is touring again. Have gone to two house concerts. Both have been terrific.

Just another Daytonian who listened to you back in the 70s. My exwife mentioned she lived across the street from you during her high school days in Beavercreek - OH. Loved the sound!

Saw you and Mark in Dayton - Ohio in '72 or 73 opening for Pure Prarie League. You blew them away. Immediately became a fan - as did all of my college buds. The songs were incredible. We jammed for hours on end trying to duplicate your sound. Still listen to the music. Still amazed with the sound.

To this day I still tell people I'd take the B&R albums to the desert island. I learned how to play by wearing our your albums and figuring out what I could by ear. Man would some chord charts be sweet now. Thanks for the music - see you in Dayton in September (I'm coming up from Jax - Fl).

What a smart girl I was to come from the burgh and visit Monica and see you at the Canal Street Tavern! You were great--I didn't want you to stop playing and singing. I'm so glad Monica led me to you and am kinda thankful I didn't have to go the whole way to CA to see you! I gave away the cd's I got at Canal Street and am getting more. Welcome back! May your line run all the way to "Z" and beyond! I'm checking out Club Cafe and hope so much you'll be here soon!

Very good concert last evening John. Hoping to see you again when you start touring with Mark...maybe down at Canal - and definitely when you return to Kent Stage.

John... I agree with Anne...Thanks so much for making the trip to Kent - but it was a disappointing turnout. (We'll try and do better next time????) I brought two friends who had never heard your music and they LOVED it! One said..."I never knew the guitar could sound so beautiful"! Your songs always touch the soul - make you smile or do a combination of both! I'm grateful...Hollie

Thanks for making the stop in Kent tonight. I regret that we didn't welcome you in larger numbers. I enjoyed your sets - in particular your tune "Forgiveness." Do come back... Anne
