John - I grew up in Dayton - OH and graduated from High School in 1972(Fairmont West)...both of your albums(still have them) followed me to college....love your music...After college I lost contact did not know if you two were around anymore. This summer saw the announcement that you and Mark were going to be at Canal Steet Tavern in Dayton...I couldn't believe it. I ordered "Still Burning" from your site. You don't know how happy it makes me to listen to your music again. Please come back to Dayton soon!!! Thanks
You both were fantastic at Wildwood Springs Lodge (8/30/08)!! By pure luck - my wife & I met you as you were entering the Lodge door. I was very excited to meet such great performers who have certainly impacted my love of great music! Please come back to Wildwood Springs Lodge soon!!Tom & Lisa Roth St. Louis
I think we dated at Beavercreek H.S. My sister found your music on line and purchased your new release with Mark. She gave it to me tonight and it is great! Congrats!!! Jill
I had no idea you two were still making music. Last time I heard you guys was Reno I think - in or around 1972 - while living the hippie life in Lake Tahoe. Hope you come to Denver. Namaste - Stephen.
PLEASE COME TO HAWAII. SURF - BABES - FUN and B&R!
You -- are -- THE -- best!!!!
Great to see B&R resurfacing! As an ex-college radio DJ back in the early 70's we played the first two albums incessantly. Connecticut radio loved you guys. I'm no longer in the biz - but still love good ol' acoustic-based rock. It'll be an extreme pleasure catching up with the new music.
Me and my bro Barney had the pleasure to catch Batdorf & Rodney opening up for Dan Fogelberg in 1974 in St. Louis. 5th row. We were groovin' to ypur first 2 albums and then caught the show.Great night. Barnhart & Samuels stil play your tunes and always will. They filled a musical void for us. Thank you for the tunes. See you at Wildwood Springs
Saw you tonight at Minden Park of all places. I grew up in L.A. and saw you guys live twice in the 70's. You sounded great tonight and it brought back a lot of memories. Your songs really hold up and stand the test of time. Hope to see you again!
I know yor bro - Jeff.I have been in Nashville 30 yr's as a musician. Like yor honesty and straight-forward lyrics. Good vocals.
I graduated from Beavercreek H.S. in 1977 and I had a class one time in which I had one of your old textbooks. I loved your music and bought both of your albums. The music still fills me with great memories. I'll never forget letting a former band member of mine listen to "All I need" for the first time - he was blown away by the beauty of that song. I hope you continue to make music for a long - long time.
John - The St. Louis area is soooo excited to see you at Wildwood Springs Lodge in August - especially ME! Looking forward to finally meeting you in person!
Thanx for your classic UNIQUE acoustic rock music and harmonies the memories!!I'd love to see more on you tube.
Just to make sure I'm on the list for summer...Wm. Baker
I guess Batdorf's easier to spell. Oh well - fame and fortune are short lived and fickle at best. Thanks for the magic. It truly was a magical mystery tour. Your friend - Tom
Loved your music in the 70's along with Dan Schwenker of Ohio. He just sent me pics of your small concert of a week or so ago. What fond memories!
I really enjoyed your show at Dayton's Canal Street Tavern on the 19th - April. My wife and really enjoyed the music. Your show gave me an opportunity to meet someone who I have worked with for 18 years via telephone but never met face to face - your bassist for the night - Tom Leatherwood. Thanks for that opportunity.
