Wed Jun 29 23:03:25 2005 I loved your music when Batdorf & Rodney first came out. It's great to see that the old albuns will be released in 2006. I will definitely put them on my list of must haves. Hearing the samples brought back fond memorires of your joyous - energetic sound. Please continue making music and think about coming out to the East coast. I'm sure there are many fans out here who feel as strongly as I do about the pleasure your music gave. Thanks for the musical memories.

Sun Jul 31 20:36:27 2005 Hi John - My name is Mark Pinheiro - a 31 year old from Marietta - GA.I was born old.I Love all music before my time and my favorite format is the old 33 RPM Albums - I was at a Huge Record Show about a year ago and found copies of Off The Shelf - Life Is You and That group Silver - The only one I'm missing is The Self Titled B&R Album with the Red Cover - I play Off The Shelf Frequently and it is just moving I tell you what - on a bad day - and in a bad mood I just grab that LP and play Can You See Him and my spirits are uplifted and begin to feel at ease and at peace - a very happy enjoyable song.I have just ordered the first two B&R Cd's on the CCM (Collector's Choice Music) website.Hope to see you play in the Atlanta area - Singer/Songwriters especially the 1970's is my favorite and I Place you at the top of the list. Sat Apr 09 22:43:43 2005 Referred By: Bought your Stones CD on the Amazon web site I've been a huge fan since the 70's. I introduced all my friends to all of your Batdorf and Rodney LP's in high school. I had to buy three copies of Off the Shelf because I played this one ALL the time. Also - Just found the new CD version on Amazon and I'm thrilled. I also like the Michael McLean stuff both of you did together. The Stones album is GOLD! Keep putting out great acoustic music!

Sat Apr 30 17:28:43 2005 I live right around the corner from the Coffee Gallery in Altadena - CA and am looking forward to seeing you tonight. Finding out you were playing locally was a treat. Last saw you at Santa Monica Civic maybe in '73/'74 at a Batdorf & Rodney concert. I emailed my friend Greg Barbato because you guys played together way back when. According to Greg (assuming his long-term memory is still intact) ..."John kind of got his start with the "Trojans" - so he better remember us. He may not remember it this way - but the way I remember it - he was with a band that was really struggling in Dayton circa 1966 - mostly because John was the only real talent in the group. Doug West - Paul LaVigne - me (and others you don't know) were in the Trojans at the time; we were pretty well established and pretty damn good too! But - Paul got sent to Nam - and suddenly we were in dire need of a talented lead singer. We saw Batdorf's group performing at a Dayton club and thought he'd be a perfect match for us. P

Wed May 04 11:48:21 2005 I Really Enjoyed reading about your music career & the play by play of how you "did it" in the early days. I have most likely heard some of your music in the early years - but I'll have to go & listen in the archive section to refresh my memories...My brother who is 50 now - I'm sure has heard of you.... Thanks for the read....

Sat Apr 30 17:35:28 2005 Think my comments were too long for one entry - here's the rest..."Personality-wise and musically - it really turned out to be a match made in heaven. He lifted us up and we lifted him up. Those were very good - very fun days. John - assuming he hasn't changed much - is a great guy." Greg is still the wonderful guy he always was. Thought you'd get a kick out out this flashback. Looking forward to seeing you tonight.
