Description

(but) After the water was splashed on my face
There in the mirror I saw something weirder
(than)I’d seen before standing in that place
Who were they
staring at me
those faces that were framing mine
I didn’t know them but they seemed familiar
(and) I knew what they all hoped to find
Mostly all those smiling faces were trying
To show me something that I should have known
They’d all been hiding somewhere inside me
Til they could reveal that I’m not alone
Who are they
Staring at me
Those faces looking more like mine
I must have known them cause they seemed familiar
And I knew what they all hoped to find
Kind of lost and kind of broken
Searching for words that rarely are spoken
Needing more friends and less enemies
Is most of the world just people like me?
Walking down main street who’s this that I’m seeing
The faces that smiled at me before dawn
They’re everywhere and none of them scare me
Thank God I found we’re not alone
