Thank you for being part of the soundtrack of my life.
I heard one album of B&R in 1974 and I was hooked. Since then there has been nothing that compares to your sound. But where can I find lyrics and sheet music (guitar chords)? Don't have much luck online. Would really love to learn the music. Best of luck - always. Love you guys. God Bless.
John really like your music and cant get enough of it.That's about it.
Old Man dreamin - that's me now 67 and going strong.I have only recently come across John Batdorf's music after seeing the name Batdorf & Rodney on Freebird radio.I requested a song called "All I need" and that was it I was hooked.John I can't get enough of your music buddy.I will be getting as many of your cd's as I can because I just think it's great music.Ciao for now.
Looking forward to your concert on Nov 10th at Trinity House...i have enjoyed your music and looking forward to a live show.
I too grew up in Las Vegas and saw John and Mark at the Kitchen and on many occassions. I remember most vividly seeing Batdorf and Rodney as the opening act for ELO at the Stardust Hotel! Most recently seeing you both together at Saxby's Coffee shop in Las Vegas! What memories!
Where does one find tab for your music. Loved your music as a kid in the 70's and it's great to rediscover it now! And - I do remember "The Summer of Love"....
Looking forward to your house concert at our house - in Dayton - on Nov. 9th. It's going to be a great time. Home Again!!
I was a senior in high school when I first heard your music and I loved it. I was living in a little town called Enon - not too far away from Beavercreek. I think that Batdorf and Rodney - Richie Furay - Sonny Flaherty and the Ohio Players were the only acts out of that area.
Thank god we had a radio station like KSHE "USED" to be here in St. Louis in the 70's.....the D.J.'S back then made SURE we heard classic timeless music...and yours NEVER gets old!
Miss you all cuz. Give all a hug from us. Keep playing !!
Hi John - I am still totally bummed that I missed your gig in Situate - MA. Your music has been with me for 35+ years. I was ecstatic that you were playing nearby and that I would finally get to see you live. The wedding that I was officiating that day was delayed (the Groom's uncle - who had come for the wedding and was staying at his parent's home - passed away that morning). The wedding (unfortunately a somber one) was delayed a few hours. There was just no way I could have made it to your concert in time. The one good thing that came out of all this is that I've been listening to your old vinyl and "One Last Wish" almost nonstop since then. Love your music and I hope you come back east soon.
I have been a fan since the early days. Loved seeing you and Mark at the Las Vegas Convention Center...many years ago.
Growing up in Las Vegas in the 60's and 70's was amazing. I remember seeing led Zepplin at the Ice Palace. Yes an ice rink with plywood covering the ice. But my fondest memories where at UNLV at The Kitchen listening to Batdorf and Rodney. We all knew then that they were special. Been a fan ever since. Cheers to you John. Your new music is as meaningful as your older stuff.
I'll never forget that fateful day summer of 72 when I was first exposed to your music. I had just embarked on a folk/rock duo with a good friend and heard your album at his friends home. There's just nothing quite like 2 Martins going with two voices in sync. Glad you're still doing it. Your material is timeless
Cool music - enjoyed it! Thanks - -Shibu.
Hi John - I just wanted to stop by your sight and say hi! I also wanted to say it was a pleasure and a blessing to get to know you and your wife last spring when Dave and I stopped by your home. I truly enjoy your music and play it often - especially while driving. Your music is an authentic and honest portrayal of who you are - and that's rare and difficult to find these days. I'm back in Wisconsin - long story - and hope that you and James get to play in Milwaukee some day. I'll definitely be in the audience! If you see James - say hi for me! Love - Judy Huolihan
Awesome memories of your songs. Brings back the youth days memories. "One Day" - "Can You See Him". Wow!!
Just heard a Stones song on the "coffee house" channel with John and James Lee Stanley. So glad to see John's name again. Grew up as a kid in Beavercreek Ohio and remember the big mail box with Batdorf displayed on the side. Hope to see Batdorf and Rodney again sometime on the front range of Colorado. I know of a beautiful setting where they could play if interested. Peace - Mike.
