John - After twenty five years you are about to sit down with Mark and play again in my adopted home town of San Diego.(I actually live up in the mountains of San Diego in a little town called Julian.Except for a reunion of the Beatles - nothing has excited me more than the thought of you and Mark playing together again. Your music has been a part of my life since those first notes of "Oh My Surprise" that I heard back in 1971.I hope that you will feel my spirit there with you on the 30th of July because my family and I will unfortunately be in Oregon on a 3 week camping trip beginning this coming Tuesday - the 25th. Believe me when I tell you that I regret few things in my life - I have been a blessed man - but on the evening of the 30th wherever I may be camping under the stars in some off the beaten path spot in Oregon - I will somehow know that my day will be a little less than it could have been for missing you and Mark.Perhaps now was not meant to be the time for myself and my family to be there to see you - but hopefully later down the road that time will be right.Enjoy San Diego and have a wonderful evening with your friends.Sincerely - Jim Kaltenthaler
