John-Everyone thinks that they are your biggest fan - and I'm sure we all are. However - I have been loving your music longer than most. After driving 6 hours to see you play at Gayle's Perks last Friday - My friend & I listened to your CD with Michael on the way home. I was so wired from all the coffee & so moved by the music of you & your friends that I would never have slept anyway. Seeing you play in that small intimate setting was like being at home with friends. When Gen & I use to follow you guys around in your SILVER days I always wished I could see you guys play in that type of setting. For you fans that don't know - almost 30 years ago my friend Gen/Donna & I decide to drive to Colorado one weekend to surprise John & all the other SILVER band members. We got all the way there only to find out the show had been cancelled. On the way home Gen/Donna drove us over a cliff in Larame - Wyoming & we had to get towed back up onto the road. We were in our twenties then. Now here we are in our fifties...each driving 6 hours to see you again (top that you youngsters). We fell in love with your music along time ago and the love affair continues today. In case you didn't notice we knew all the words to all your Silver songs and many others...WE ARE YOUR GREATEST FANS...but there is always room for even greater fans!Your new stuff is awesome and I loved hearing you play with Michael. His son is so young & talented...I hope to hear more from him in the future. Seeing Greg was wonderful. I'm glad he's doing something with his songs...it would be such a waste not to share them with the world. It was good to see that Steve is still with you sometimes...takes me back to Indigo recording studio. AND you still have the most beautiful wife...how lucky you both are to have each other after all this time. Don't be surprised to see me again soon. We laughed on the way home that we drove all the way to LA to kick back & relax & hear some great music with people who are so warm & down to earth...a rare treat for the music world. Thanks again John (& Friends) You made my heart sing...EVER YOUR FAN - Love - Charlette
