House concerts rule! Although that last gig here in Columbus - Ohio was wonderful for it's home concert-like intimacy. I sure enjoyed that show!
Hello John- Greetings from Bellbrook - OH. Since I first heard "Off the Shelf" - I have been chasing your tunes and wanting to trade songs with you.'Was also @ the Silver concert @ Wittenberg in '76. Thanks for the great music! It still sounds as good to me as it did in the early seventies! Randy Mills
Hey John - I caught you on "the Morning Blend" Thursday in Tucson. I have been familiar with you because of being a fellow writer on the "Original Christmas Songs" site. I love your tunes and wish I could be at your show on Saturday but have other plans. Regards - Thom

Wonderful voice. I just ordered you Old Man Dreamin CD. I can't wait to have it. You are incredible.
You probably don't recall - but I played an opening set for you and Mark at the Bluebird Cafe in Santa Barbara sometime in the mid 70's. I just googled you to see if you're still alive and kicking - which obviously you are. If you're curious - check out the innovative methods I developed for learning about music and learning to play acoustic guitar on my website at twelvemonth.com. David Stieg (aka D.L.Stieg)
literally wore through your albums on my Garrard SL 95B turntable...the songs never left me...
I sure hope you read all this adoration. You guys deserve it. I was turned on to the first 3 albums from a buddy in college in - believe it or not - 1981. Well after their release. We all knew all those tunes by heart. I couldn't believe the ease with which your style of playing came through on the recordings. I know that took a lot of practice and love for the music to get right. We played various instruments - and we spent some time figuring out the changes; the minor 7ths - 9ths - etc. Nice progressions that really worked well for jam sessions with the college friends. You have no idea that in Upstate New York - nestled on the shores of Lake Ontario - there sat sometimes dozens of people singing along to your tunes while we traded licks with the reflection of the moon over that magnificent lake.None of us ever saw you play live - but we did the next best thing by keeping the spirit of the music going within our own community of friends. When I talk with the guy who turned us all on to the music - we mention how much it meant to us all.For that - I thank you. Again - you guys deserve all the love and adoration you're receiving here.
Out of nowhere your name Batdorf & Rodney came to mind and looked you up. I so need to either find a turntable or buy your CD. Thanks!
John - You were an early musical inspiration to myself & others in 1970 or so & I have just found your music again. Thanks so much! Phil I'm back in 'Creek....
John - I've always loved your music! Went to Beavercreek w/Jackie. 1972. Your new CD is great & would love to know the tunings you used on it by song. "I Don't Always Win" in particular. Beautiful! Keep it up! Phil
